About The Department

About the Department (within 250 words): Department of Plant Protection at the degree level was started in the academic session 1986-87 under the approval and financial assistance of UGC and Burdwan University with only twenty (20) students.with the increasing demand of education and due to the ever growing scientific agricultural practice, now'the number of students in the department has grown remarkable. Students who passed at Degree level with Plant Protection since 1988 are able to get involved in better scientific agricultural practice which results in the increase of better crop and vegetable production of our locality as well as our country.
