About the Department

The department of Geography has been running for thirty years with B.A./B.Sc. Honours and General courses. The department is well-equipped with two laboratories including a computer lab. with internet facility. There is a seminar library and a smart class room also in this department. Every year Geography department arranges for two academic excursions for Honours and General course students to expand their horizon of knowledge. Students are also encouraged with departmental seminars, quiz, extempore etc, interactive academic activities. Regular publication of departmental wall magazine, observation of Teachers’ Day etc, various programmes help the students for an overall educational development. There is an upward trend of scoring first class marks among students in undergraduate level and in opting for post graduate course and further higher education as well. Ex. students of this department are engaged in various government and private services.
